Construction Manager – High Voltage Infrastructure

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Construction Manager to lead the safe delivery of high‑voltage transmission line and substation projects across Queensland. The role is site‑based, overseeing mobilisation through commissioning and ensuring safety, quality, schedule and commercial outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Lead construction delivery of high‑voltage transmission line and substation projects from mobilisation to commissioning support.
• Manage contractors, subcontractors and site personnel to meet program, cost, quality and safety targets.
• Provide visible leadership on‑site, fostering a culture of accountability and high performance.
• Monitor progress, manage site risks and ensure compliance with regulatory, client and HSE requirements.
• Build strong relationships with project managers, engineers, clients and external stakeholders.

Required profile

• Proven experience delivering high‑voltage substation and/or transmission line construction projects in the utilities, power or energy sector.
• Trade or engineering qualification, or equivalent experience in construction, electrical or infrastructure delivery.
• Strong understanding of contractor management, construction methodology, risk management and project controls.
• Demonstrated ability to lead site‑based teams, influence stakeholders and deliver outcomes in complex environments.
