About the role
We are looking for a Compliance Counsel to join the Transactions, Sustainability & Reporting Compliance Department of Aramco’s Global Corporate Compliance Business. The role will provide legal guidance on international trade matters and ensure compliance with export controls, sanctions, and related regulations across the company’s worldwide operations.
Key responsibilities
- Provide legal advice on export controls, economic sanctions, CFIUS, foreign direct investment, antiboycott, customs, WTO obligations and trade remedies.
- Develop and implement business procedures and operational directions to ensure compliance with relevant trade regulations.
- Support internal stakeholders in building robust export control programs and risk‑management controls.
- Identify international trade risks, design mitigation measures, and conduct regulatory due‑diligence for new business opportunities, acquisitions and financings.
- Design and deliver training programmes on key trade compliance topics to employees and management.
- Participate in compliance‑related technology development projects and provide counsel on related initiatives.
Required profile
- Law degree with a strong background in international trade law and compliance.
- Significant experience advising on export controls, sanctions, CFIUS, WTO and trade remedy matters.
- Proven ability to develop compliance policies, conduct risk assessments and deliver training.
- Excellent analytical and communication skills, with the capacity to work with global business units.
