Commercial Manager – Construction Projects

About the role

ACCIONA is seeking a Commercial Manager to lead commercial activities for the Australian Naval Infrastructure (ANI) enabling works at Osborne Naval Shipyard, South Australia. Reporting to the Project Manager, you will ensure commercial outcomes align with ACCIONA standards while supporting the delivery of a nationally significant nuclear‑powered submarine construction yard.

Key responsibilities

• Administer head contracts and sub‑contracts across the project.
• Prepare, negotiate and manage variation and extension of time claims.
• Oversee procurement and tender processes for major packages.
• Identify, log and mitigate contract and supply‑chain risks.
• Deliver accurate monthly reports on project economic performance.
• Apply commercial negotiation techniques to secure value for money.

Required profile

• Degree in Contract Law, Commerce, Quantity Surveying or Engineering.
• Extensive experience in construction or infrastructure contract management.
• Proven ability to lead multi‑disciplinary teams.
• Experience administering contracts under a Delivery Partner model.
• Strong negotiation and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Australian citizenship (required for Defence clearance).
