Cloud Security Engineer

About the role

The Cloud Security Engineer will protect Leidos' enterprise cloud environment across Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365 and AWS. You will work with global cyber security, infrastructure and cloud engineering teams to design, implement and operate security capabilities that safeguard data and services.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build and deploy cloud security controls for Azure, AWS and Microsoft 365.
• Act as a technical SME, providing guidance on cloud security architectures, shared‑responsibility models and provider capabilities.
• Partner with cloud engineering and infrastructure teams to deliver secure, scalable solutions.
• Support operational cloud security services, ensuring compliance and alignment with business needs.
• Collaborate with Security Operations and Incident Response for threat detection and remediation.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in cyber security, cloud or infrastructure engineering.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365 security services and cloud‑native controls.
• Experience with identity and access management (Entra ID/Azure AD, Active Directory, Okta).
• Solid understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, routing, firewalls).
• Australian citizenship with Baseline security clearance and ability to obtain NV1.
