Cloud Engineer – AWS & DevOps (Melbourne/Canberra/Brisbane)

About the role

Accenture is seeking a Cloud Engineer to join a high‑performing team delivering AWS‑led transformation projects across Melbourne, Canberra or Brisbane. You will design, build and support secure, scalable cloud environments while applying modern DevOps and automation practices.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain cloud‑native solutions on AWS.
• Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps (YAML and classic).
• Develop infrastructure as code with Terraform, CloudFormation or AWS CDK.
• Support containerisation using Docker and micro‑services architectures.
• Manage multi‑environment deployments (Dev, Test, Pre‑Prod, Prod).
• Collaborate on solution design, technical specifications and delivery planning.
• Create runbooks, documentation and automation to ensure operational readiness.
• Provide Linux system support and scripting (Shell/PowerShell).

Required profile

• Australian citizenship or eligibility for security clearance.
• Strong hands‑on experience with AWS cloud services.
• Proficiency with Azure DevOps pipelines and CI/CD practices.
• Experience with Docker and micro‑services architecture.
• Solid background in infrastructure‑as‑code (Terraform, CloudFormation, AWS CDK).
• Good knowledge of JSON/YAML for configuration and pipelines.
• Strong scripting skills in Shell or PowerShell.
• Familiarity with Linux system administration.
