About the role
Capgemini is seeking a senior Cloud Architect to lead the design, migration and modernisation of complex enterprise environments across on‑premises, private cloud and hyperscale public clouds (AWS and Azure). You will work closely with security, application and delivery teams to embed security‑by‑design, resilience and governance from architecture through operations.
Key responsibilities
- Architect and drive large‑scale migrations from on‑premises and private cloud to AWS and Azure.
- Design cloud‑native and hybrid solutions that meet performance, availability, security and regulatory requirements.
- Develop cloud adoption strategies, landing zones and governance models for both AWS and Azure.
- Conduct assessments, define roadmaps and oversee migration and modernisation programmes.
- Provide technical leadership, mentoring and oversight to cloud engineering teams.
Required profile
- 10+ years of experience in cloud architecture and enterprise IT.
- Proven track record leading complex AWS and/or Azure migration and transformation projects.
- Strong documentation, communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Experience working in Agile and DevOps delivery environments.
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect and/or Azure Solutions Architect Expert preferred.
Required skills
- AWS and Microsoft Azure (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS) including Well‑Architected Frameworks.
- Landing Zones (AWS Control Tower, Azure CAF), migration tools (AWS Migration Hub, Azure Migrate).
- Infrastructure as Code: Terraform, ARM Templates, Bicep, AWS CloudFormation.
- CI/CD pipelines: Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Git.
- Scripting: PowerShell, Bash, Python.
- Containerisation and orchestration: Docker, Kubernetes, EKS, AKS.
- Networking: VPC, Transit Gateway, Direct Connect, VPN, VNets, NSGs, Load Balancers, ExpressRoute.
- Security: IAM, RBAC, Azure AD/Entra ID, Key Vault, Secrets Manager, AWS Security Hub, GuardDuty.
- Monitoring and observability: CloudWatch, Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Application Insights.
