Cleaner - Remote Mining Camp (Hayes Creek, NT)

About the role

A remote mining site in Hayes Creek, Northern Territory, is looking for a reliable and motivated cleaner to join its camp team on an 8:6 roster. The position is a three-month casual contract starting 26 November 2026, advertised by CoreStaff.

Key responsibilities

• General room cleaning and servicing
• Cleaning and maintaining ablution blocks, administration buildings and other camp facilities
• Assisting with kitchen hand duties and general kitchen cleaning
• Serving alcohol to guests at the onsite camp bar
• Maintaining a clean, safe and presentable environment across camp facilities
• Driving to and from the mine site as required
• Following all site health, safety and hygiene requirements

Required profile

• Current and valid Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certificate
• Current full driver's licence
• Previous housekeeping, commercial cleaning or hospitality experience desirable
• Ability to work 12-hour shifts on an 8:6 roster
• Available to start 26 November 2026 and commit to the three-month contract

Required skills

• Ability to undertake a variety of cleaning, kitchen and support duties
• Strong work ethic, able to work independently and as part of a team
• Good communication and customer service skills

What we offer

• $37.00 per hour plus penalties and paid travel time
