Centre Director - Early Learning Service (Belmont)

About the role

Busy Bees, a global early learning provider with over 130 centres across Australia, is seeking an experienced and confident Centre Director for its Belmont service (124 licensed capacity, 326 High Street, Belmont VIC). The centre has strong occupancy, an established team of educators and a high-demand location, and offers a purpose-built space with a dedicated Kindergarten room, outdoor areas, weekly incursions and Bush Kinder excursions.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the day-to-day operations of a high-quality early learning service.
• Drive occupancy growth and financial performance in line with budget targets.
• Build, mentor and retain a high-performing leadership team.
• Maintain compliance with the National Quality Framework and Victorian regulations.
• Foster a culture of safety, inclusion and educational excellence.
• Develop strong partnerships with families and the local community.
• Collaborate with the Area Director and support functions to achieve strategic goals.
• Lead performance management, workforce planning and succession planning.

Required profile

• Diploma or Bachelor qualification in Early Childhood Education and Care (ACECQA approved).
• Current Working with Children Check for Victoria.
• Proven experience leading a service, ideally in a medium to large centre.
• Genuine commitment to child safety and alignment with Busy Bees values.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of the National Quality Framework, EYLF and compliance requirements.
• Ability to manage occupancy, rosters and financial performance.
• Excellent leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills.
