About the role
Pro Light & Sound is one of Melbourne's leading AV and event production companies, known for custom builds and sets that make events look and sound as promised. It is looking for skilled casual builders to construct custom sets and scenic elements in its Melbourne workshop and on site. Work varies with the event calendar, so it suits someone who wants flexible, hands-on craft.
Key responsibilities
- Build custom sets and scenic elements from plans and briefs.
- Carpentry and set-building in the workshop and on site.
- Prepare, assemble and finish builds to a high standard.
- Assist with install and pack-down of builds at events where needed.
- Keep the workshop safe, clean and organised.
Required profile
- Solid carpentry and set-building skills, knowing your way around tools and a workshop.
- An eye for detail and pride in a clean, well-made build.
- Physical fitness for hands-on workshop and on-site work.
- Reliability and flexible availability that fits the event calendar.
- A White Card or other relevant tickets preferred, but not essential.
- A current driver's licence preferred.
