Casual Bar Attendant (Bartender)

About the role

Novotel Sunshine Coast Resort, part of the Accor network, is looking for friendly and experienced bartenders to join its Food & Beverage team on a casual basis. The resort has over 370 rooms, several Food & Beverage outlets and a convention centre, so the bars and events spaces are busy all year round.

Key responsibilities

• Welcome guests with a friendly and genuine approach
• Take orders and serve beverages efficiently and professionally
• Prepare and serve beers, wines, spirits and cocktails
• Give knowledgeable recommendations and create a great guest experience
• Support bar and beverage service at conferences, weddings and special events
• Keep bar areas clean, organised and well stocked
• Assist with stock control, preparation and general bar operations
• Follow responsible service of alcohol, food safety and workplace health and safety standards
• Work closely with the wider Food & Beverage team

Required profile

• At least 1 year of cocktail and bartending experience
• Valid and current Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certification
• Ability to work evenings, weekends and public holidays
• Friendly, confident and approachable, calm and efficient in a fast-paced environment
• Team-focused attitude and willingness to get involved

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of beer, wine, spirits and cocktails
• Responsible service of alcohol
