About the role

As a Business Subject Matter Expert within ANZ's Enterprise Risk team, you will lead the evolution of the bank’s risk governance framework. Working with senior leaders across the organisation, you will provide strategic advice, ensure regulatory alignment, and help embed robust risk policies throughout the enterprise.

Key responsibilities

• Support the strategic uplift and ongoing optimisation of the enterprise risk governance framework to enable effective oversight and decision‑making.
• Act as a senior advisor to business units and risk functions, guiding the interpretation and implementation of risk governance requirements.
• Produce governance insights, reporting and analysis for senior leadership, executive committees and board‑level forums.
• Monitor regulatory expectations, identify trends and recommend proactive enhancements to risk policies.
• Influence and improve governance processes and committee effectiveness, driving transparency and operational efficiency.
• Lead enterprise‑wide initiatives or workstreams related to governance and policy uplift, ensuring consistent execution and strong stakeholder engagement.

Required profile

• Deep expertise in enterprise risk governance, risk frameworks and policy management.
• Proven experience advising senior executives on complex governance issues.
• Track record of managing governance processes and supporting executive or board‑level committees.
• Strong analytical and communication skills with the ability to influence senior stakeholders.
