Boomspray Operator

About the role

Warakirri Cropping is seeking a dedicated Boomspray Operator to join its Baingarra farm team in the north‑Wimmera region of Victoria. You will work with modern cropping machinery, primarily focusing on spraying, while supporting a range of farm activities in a safety‑first environment.

Key responsibilities

• Operate and monitor sprayers, spreaders, and other precision‑ag equipment across the 12,810‑ha Baingarra aggregation.
• Perform daily pre‑start checks, servicing, greasing, cleaning and basic maintenance of all machinery.
• Assist with recording, storage and handling of grain during and after harvest.
• Support seasonal operations such as seeding, planting, cartage and harvest, including extended working days when required.
• Maintain a safe work environment by following farm procedures and keeping equipment in excellent condition.
• Participate in ongoing training and skill development across the farm’s operations.

Required profile

• Proven experience in a dry‑land/broadacre cropping operation, especially driving sprayers.
• Familiarity with John Deere Ops Centre and Case Patriot sprayers is a plus.
• Strong focus on safety and ability to work effectively within a team.
• Self‑motivated, initiative‑driven and able to contribute to farm goals.
• Current driver’s licence.
• Valid chemical user’s certificate.
