Associate – Commercial Litigation

About the role

MinterEllison’s Dispute Resolution team handles high‑profile, complex commercial litigation across Australia. We are seeking an Associate with at least two years of post‑admission experience to work closely with partners Kathryn Finlayson and Evan Goldman, advising major corporates and government clients on commercial, regulatory and competition matters.

Key responsibilities

• Provide legal advice and representation to clients in the energy, resources, health, infrastructure and Queensland Government sectors on commercial and regulatory disputes.
• Collaborate with senior lawyers and partners to develop case strategy, conduct investigations and manage litigation matters.

Required profile

• Minimum two years post‑admission experience in commercial litigation and regulatory disputes.
• Excellent plain‑English drafting skills and confidence to advise on complex legal issues.
• High level of technical excellence and attention to detail.
• Strong client‑service mindset with proven ability to build trusted relationships.
• Ability to work autonomously and thrive in a collaborative team environment.
• Commercially minded, driven, hard‑working and proactive.
