Assistant Manager – Business Banking

About the role

Working alongside a supportive Relationship Manager, you will manage and grow a portfolio of business banking customers. The role may focus on Small to Medium Enterprises or on diversified and specialised industries such as agribusiness, health, property, or emerging corporate sectors. You will build trusted relationships, drive growth through acquisition and referrals, and use data insights to anticipate client needs.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain a detailed understanding of each customer’s business and financial requirements.
• Act in the best interests of customers, applying a customer‑centric approach to recommend suitable products and services.
• Provide appropriate solutions to support account maintenance and business banking needs.
• Identify opportunities for portfolio growth, including acquisition and increasing share of wallet.

Required profile

• Experience in business banking or other financial services.
• Familiarity with risk management concepts and regulatory requirements such as Know Your Customer (KYC) and Anti‑Money Laundering (AML).
• Ability to build trusted relationships and work collaboratively with a Relationship Manager.
