Assistant Human Resource Manager

About the role

The Westin is looking for an Assistant Human Resource Manager to lead HR initiatives that support employee wellbeing and operational excellence. You will work closely with the HR team and department leaders to manage the full employee life‑cycle in a fast‑paced hospitality environment.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and execute HR programs, including onboarding, orientation, and TakeCare wellbeing events.
• Manage recruitment processes, interview candidates, and support talent acquisition strategies.
• Maintain accurate employee files and ensure compliance with Australian employment law.
• Oversee workers‑compensation claims and coordinate employee care.
• Collaborate on the hotel’s talent acquisition strategy and represent the brand at external recruitment fairs.

Required profile

• Relevant experience in a similar managerial HR role.
• Strong knowledge of Australian employment law and working rights.
• Self‑motivated, driven, and able to thrive in a fast‑paced environment.
