Assistant Executive Housekeeping Manager

About the role

Pullman East Melbourne, a 419-room luxury hotel near Fitzroy Gardens and the MCG, is looking for an Assistant Executive Housekeeping Manager. You will support the Executive Housekeeper in keeping the property clean, organised and ready for guests, covering guest rooms, public areas and back-of-house areas.

Key responsibilities

• Check designated team members' areas daily to maintain standards
• Inspect public areas against the hotel's cleanliness and maintenance standards
• Train, mentor and support housekeeping team members for consistency and productivity
• Handle guest requests and concerns about housekeeping services
• Ensure efficient use of cleaning supplies and equipment
• Report and follow up on maintenance issues so they are resolved quickly
• Ensure adherence to hotel policies, hygiene procedures and safe work practices
• Collaborate with other departments to keep operations smooth and guests satisfied

Required profile

• Proven experience in a similar high-paced role
• Strong leadership attributes
• Clear communication to lead and develop the Housekeeping Team
• Positive stakeholder management and collaboration with multiple departments
• Solutions-focused, proactive and strategic approach
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
