Army Lawyer – Travel Opportunities

About the role

Join the Australian Army’s legal team as a Lawyer and work across a dynamic mix of disciplinary, administrative, operations, civil and commercial law. You will also provide legal aid, mentor a team of passionate lawyers and travel throughout Australia and overseas.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver legal advice and representation in disciplinary and administrative matters.
• Support operational, civil and commercial law issues for the Army.
• Handle legal‑aid requests and community support cases.
• Lead, mentor and develop junior lawyers within the team.
• Undertake short‑course training and obtain additional qualifications as required.

Required profile

• Admission as a Barrister and/or Solicitor of the High Court of Australia or a State/Territory Supreme Court.
• Minimum 18 months of post‑qualification solicitor experience preferred.
• Australian citizenship and ability to obtain a security clearance.
