Area Manager – Hush Puppies (NSW/QLD)

About the role

Brand Collective Footwear is seeking an experienced Area Manager to lead its Hush Puppies stores and Myer footwear concessions across New South Wales and Queensland. This hands‑on, sales‑driven position reports to the Head of Footwear and focuses on delivering profitable growth through strong people leadership.

Key responsibilities

• Lead a culture of selling excellence, ensuring KPIs are understood, owned, and embedded across stores and concessions.
• Drive sales growth, productivity, and profitability for the region.
• Coach and develop Store Managers and Multi‑Site leaders to build a strong internal talent pipeline.
• Build and maintain relationships with Myer stakeholders and external retail partners.
• Oversee people management, operational standards, and inventory control.
• Plan and optimise rosters to balance sales opportunities with wage control, coaching leaders on effective scheduling.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance sales, productivity, team performance, and operational execution.
• Manage performance, achieve KPI targets, and motivate teams.
• Handle escalated store or customer complaints professionally.
• Manage the full employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, coaching, and performance management.
• Spend regular time in stores, leading from the floor and supporting teams where needed.

Required profile

• Proven Area Management experience within footwear, fashion apparel, or specialty retail.
• Or strong Senior Cluster/Multi‑Site leadership experience with readiness to step into an Area Manager role.
• Track record of driving sales, improving productivity, and engaging teams with strong KPI knowledge.
• Strong people leadership, coaching, and performance management capability.
• Experience building high‑performing, customer‑focused team cultures.
• Excellent stakeholder management and relationship‑building skills.
