Application Support Specialist (Hybrid)

About the role

A fast-paced fintech running its own bespoke platform is looking for a Production Support Engineer in Sydney, working hybrid. The role combines application support and end-user IT support, and suits someone with 3 to 5 years of experience who wants to grow.

Key responsibilities

• Resolve application issues for end users across the fintech platform
• Support a Windows environment across a hybrid AWS and Azure setup
• Monitor the bespoke platform using Datadog, SaaS tools and Snowflake
• Use SQL to triage incidents and find root cause
• Lead major incidents, build resolution plans and keep stakeholders informed
• Handle laptops, walk-ups, asset management and meeting room AV
• Run Microsoft onboarding and offboarding
• Use AI tools to automate processes and improve workflows

Required profile

• 3 to 5 years in application/production and IT support
• Proactive mindset, thinking through problems rather than just logging them
• SaaS/fintech experience preferred

Required skills

• Confident writing SQL queries to investigate incidents
• Windows and Microsoft 365 support experience
• Monitoring tools such as Datadog, New Relic or Splunk
• Ticketing systems (Jira, ServiceNow, Zendesk)
• SQL, Python, PowerShell, Salesforce or Snowflake experience is a bonus
