About the role
Platinum Developers is seeking a full‑time Accountant to join its Melbourne office. The role supports the financial health of a fast‑growing residential development business, providing accurate reporting and insight for strategic decisions.
Key responsibilities
- Maintain and update the general ledger and all financial records.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements in line with Australian standards.
- Manage accounts payable and receivable, including invoicing, payments and reconciliations.
- Develop and monitor budgets, perform variance analysis and present findings to management.
- Assist with internal and external audits and ensure compliance with tax and regulatory requirements.
- Provide financial analysis and insights to support business planning and investment decisions.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline.
- CPA or CA certification highly desirable.
- Previous experience in property or real‑estate development is an advantage.
- Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Required skills
- Proficiency with accounting software such as MYOB or Xero.
- Financial reporting and budgeting expertise.
- Accounts payable, accounts receivable and reconciliation experience.
- Knowledge of Australian financial regulations, tax compliance and corporate reporting standards.
