Accountant – Full Cycle & BAS Specialist

About the role
Moomoo is looking for a detail‑oriented Accountant to join its finance team. The successful candidate will manage the company’s financial records, ensure accuracy across accounting processes, and support the overall financial health of the organisation.
Key responsibilities
- Manage the full cycle of accounts payable, including invoice processing and payments.
- Prepare and lodge Business Activity Statements (BAS) accurately and on time.
- Execute month‑end closing procedures such as reconciliations, journal entries, and financial reporting.
- Reconcile bank statements and other financial accounts.
- Assist in preparing financial statements and management reports.
- Maintain compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
- Collaborate with other departments to resolve accounting discrepancies.
- Support annual audit, company tax return and FBT processes by providing documentation and explanations.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of accounting processes and systems.
- Perform ad‑hoc duties as required.
Required profile
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 2–3 years of experience in a similar accounting role.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills; Mandarin or Cantonese is a plus.
Required skills
- Proficiency with Xero accounting software.
- Experience using Oracle financial systems.
- Advanced Excel skills for financial analysis and reporting.
