About the role
We are looking for a meticulous Accountant/Bookkeeper to manage the financial operations of several entities from our Waterloo office. This hands‑on position offers the chance to work across diverse sectors such as construction, fitness and finance, providing accurate reporting and valuable insights to senior management.
Key responsibilities
- Maintain separate, complete books for each entity, recording and reconciling all transactions.
- Process end‑to‑end payroll across multiple entities, ensuring compliance and accuracy.
- Oversee accounts payable and receivable, including supplier payments, invoicing and income reconciliation.
- Perform weekly and month‑end bank and balance‑sheet reconciliations.
- Manage intercompany transactions and keep financial records audit‑ready.
- Prepare monthly management reports (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow) for each entity.
Required profile
- Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or Accountant in a multi‑entity environment.
- Strong attention to detail with a structured, methodical approach.
- Ability to work independently and deliver accurate financial insights.
Required skills
- Advanced knowledge of Xero accounting software.
- Experience with payroll systems.
