Vocational Trainer – VET & RTO Compliance Specialist

About the role

We are looking for a Vocational Trainer to deliver high‑quality VET training and ensure Registered Training Organisation (RTO) compliance within Bundamba State Secondary College. The role supports students at risk of not achieving a Queensland Certificate of Education (QCE) and works closely with industry partners.

Key responsibilities

• Liaise with schools, industry representatives and the community to create work‑placement opportunities for students.
• Manage reporting, attendance and behaviour records in line with school policies.
• Facilitate assessment processes, track competency completion and monitor work‑placement progress.
• Maintain RTO compliance by overseeing documentation, MOUs and relevant legislative requirements.
• Oversee routine and non‑routine maintenance of equipment and consumable stock used in training delivery.

Required profile

• Certificate IV in Training and Assessment.
• Strong understanding of RTO compliance and ASQA standards.
• Experience in delivering and assessing vocational support packages for at‑risk students.
• Proficiency in managing documentation and ensuring adherence to departmental policies.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for interaction with staff, students, families and external stakeholders.
