Vocational Teacher (VET)

About the role

TAFE Queensland is seeking a dedicated Teacher to deliver outcome‑focused vocational education and training (VET) programmes. The role is primarily based at the Southbank Campus and involves engaging with industry, schools, universities and community partners.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage effective teaching and learning across classroom, workplace, simulated and online environments.
• Utilise flexible, blended and inclusive learning techniques to meet the needs of diverse student cohorts.
• Design, develop and implement assessment tools that align with National Training Packages and industry skill standards.
• Participate in continuous improvement activities to enhance training quality.
• Build strong relationships with students, industry partners and staff through meetings, reference groups and events.
• Ensure students follow safety procedures and sustainability practices in learning environments.
• Contribute to the planning, design, implementation and review of educational programmes.
• Undertake administrative duties such as monitoring attendance, facilitating support services and providing feedback.

• Current knowledge of industry practices and contemporary teaching methodologies.
