Utility All Rounder – Full‑Time (Canberra)

About the role

Cater Care is seeking motivated individuals to join its team as Utility All‑Rounders in Canberra. This full‑time permanent position involves supporting housekeeping, kitchen, and general site operations to ensure a clean, safe, and efficient environment for guests and staff.

Key responsibilities

• Set up, maintain, and clear dining areas.
• Operate dishwashing equipment and keep kitchen facilities, utensils, and dining spaces clean.
• Follow legislated food safety and hygiene standards.
• Provide friendly service during high‑demand periods.
• Assist team members across departments as needed.
• Prepare and serve texture‑modified meals according to dietary requirements.
• Maintain dining‑room cleanliness, replenish stock, and monitor food levels.
• Clean guest rooms and en‑suites, make beds, and perform general housekeeping tasks.
• Carry out waste management, sweeping, mopping, and other communal area cleaning duties.

Required profile

• At least 12 months experience in a utility, housekeeping, or kitchen hand role.
• Australian citizen or permanent resident with a valid driver’s licence.
• Willingness to obtain a White Card, police clearance and pre‑employment medical assessment.
• Positive, can‑do attitude and ability to work in a fast‑paced environment.
