About the role

Austral is hiring experienced VR GPs for its Community-Centred Urgent Care Clinic in Austral, southwest Sydney. The role offers consistent clinical work, comprehensive support and flexible shift scheduling, without the constraints of traditional locum arrangements. It suits GPs who want stable, well-supported employment.

Key responsibilities

• Manage urgent, non-life-threatening presentations
• Treat acute care, minor injuries, acute illness and perform minor procedures
• Work in a structured clinical environment with established protocols
• Work only in designated shift times; no on-call or overnight hours

Required profile

• Current, unrestricted AHPRA Specialist Registration (VR GP)
• ALS certification (1 or 2)
• ED, Rural VMO or Urgent Care experience
• Demonstrated clinical competency in urgent care settings
