Technical Director Roads

About the role

Aurecon is looking for a Technical Director – Roads to lead and mentor a high‑performing highway engineering team in its Perth office. You will oversee complex road and highway design projects across Western Australia, ensuring technical excellence and strong client relationships.

Key responsibilities

• Mentor and coach team members, fostering professional development.
• Provide technical oversight for design engineers on road and highway projects.
• Manage the delivery of highway and road design projects from concept to completion.
• Maintain and develop positive client relationships.
• Contribute input to the strategic direction and growth of the Roads and Civil team.
• Identify and manage risks related to design, financials, and health & safety.
• Actively support and embody Aurecon’s culture.

Required profile

• Relevant technical qualification in civil or transportation engineering.
• Extensive experience working on Main Roads WA projects.
• Willingness to develop the skills and careers of others.
