Teacher of VCE Vocational Major (Numeracy)

About the role

The Teacher of VCE Vocational Major (Numeracy) will deliver the numeracy curriculum to senior students at Parade College, a Catholic secondary school with a long tradition of academic and pastoral excellence. The role involves creating engaging lessons, assessing student progress and contributing to a supportive learning environment.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, deliver and evaluate VCE Numeracy lessons in line with the Victorian curriculum.
• Provide targeted support to students to develop critical thinking and problem‑solving skills.
• Maintain accurate records of student achievement and report to parents and senior staff.
• Collaborate with colleagues to integrate cross‑curricular projects and uphold the school’s Catholic ethos.
• Participate in professional development and school community activities.

Required profile

• Relevant teaching qualification and registration to teach in Victoria.
• Demonstrated experience in secondary education, preferably in numeracy or mathematics.
• Strong organisational skills and a commitment to student wellbeing.
• Passion for Catholic education and the Edmund Rice tradition.

• Ability to design and deliver curriculum-aligned lessons.
• Proficiency in using classroom technology and learning management systems.
