Tax Lead

About the role

Vanguard, a leading global investment manager, is seeking a Tax Lead to own the end‑to‑end tax compliance process for its Funds, Corporate and Fringe Benefit returns, as well as Business Activity Statements. This senior position will support Vanguard’s commitment to robust tax risk management and governance.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the full tax compliance cycle for Funds, Corporate, Fringe Benefits and BAS.
• Prepare quarterly corporate tax provisions and year‑end tax provision.
• Maintain Vanguard’s tax risk management and governance policies.
• Partner with Fund Accounting and Corporate Accounting to streamline or develop new processes.
• Act as primary contact for tax‑related queries, recommend resolutions and lead issue resolution.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external suppliers.
• Monitor legislative and regulatory tax developments and support implementation of changes and tax planning.

Required profile

• Undergraduate degree in Accounting, Finance or equivalent experience.
• Minimum eight years of relevant tax experience.
• CA, CTA or CPA qualification.
• Strong knowledge of corporate tax and preferably the funds management industry.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office.
