About the role
The University is seeking a Systems Administrator to provide high‑level technical expertise across Microsoft enterprise technologies and centrally managed infrastructure platforms. This permanent, full‑time position focuses on Microsoft 365, Windows Server, endpoint management, identity and collaboration services, while also supporting broader enterprise systems.
Key responsibilities
- Provide expert technical support for Microsoft enterprise infrastructure, systems and applications.
- Implement, configure, monitor and administer Microsoft 365, Windows Server environments, endpoint management and related services in a large‑scale production environment.
- Support and maintain enterprise identity, collaboration and productivity platforms across cloud and on‑premises environments.
- Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues, liaising with vendors and external partners.
- Perform maintenance, patching and upgrades to ensure high availability, performance and security.
- Contribute to system improvements, capacity planning and technology lifecycle management.
- Ensure security and integrity of systems through access management, monitoring and best‑practice controls.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, standards and operational procedures.
- Collaborate with ICT teams and university stakeholders to deliver reliable, secure digital services.
Required profile
- A relevant degree with substantial experience, or an equivalent combination of qualifications and experience.
- Demonstrated experience administering and supporting Microsoft enterprise environments.
- Strong problem‑solving, analytical and troubleshooting abilities.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work both independently and as part of a team.
