Staff Mobile Engineer, Spend Foundation

About the role

You will shape the technical foundation of a global mobile platform that powers modern financial and payment experiences for businesses worldwide. The role involves leading the evolution of native iOS and Android architecture, building scalable shared frameworks, and driving engineering excellence across multiple product teams.

Key responsibilities

• Design, evolve, and govern shared mobile architecture for native iOS and Android applications.
• Develop foundational platform capabilities such as authentication, analytics, feature flags, experimentation frameworks, observability, and shared UI components.
• Drive modularization, establish engineering standards, and improve maintainability and development velocity.
• Enhance mobile security, reliability, performance, and operational health through best practices and monitoring.
• Own and optimize CI/CD pipelines, release workflows, and automation processes.
• Lead cross‑functional technical initiatives with engineering, product, design, and platform stakeholders.
• Mentor engineers, conduct architecture reviews, and support hiring and onboarding.

Required profile

• 8+ years of experience building native mobile applications for iOS or Android.
• Experience operating at a Senior or Staff Engineer level.
• Proven ability to design and evolve scalable mobile architectures and shared libraries.
• Strong mentorship and technical leadership skills.

Required skills

• iOS: Swift, SwiftUI, Combine, async/await.
• Android: Kotlin, AndroidX, Jetpack, Coroutines, Hilt.
• CI/CD pipeline design and automation.
• Observability tools for logging, tracing, crash reporting, and performance monitoring.
