About the role
The firm is seeking a Special Counsel to join its Melbourne disputes practice. You will work on complex, high‑value commercial litigation and regulatory investigations, primarily in the superior courts. This senior position offers the opportunity to lead sophisticated matters for a nationally recognised law firm.
Key responsibilities
- Manage and lead large‑scale corporate and commercial litigation matters.
- Conduct and oversee regulatory investigations across various industries.
- Develop case strategy, draft pleadings, and supervise junior lawyers.
- Interact with clients, counsel, and court officials to advance case objectives.
- Maintain a high standard of legal research and advocacy in superior court proceedings.
Required profile
- Admission as a solicitor with practising rights in Australia.
- Current Special Counsel or experienced Senior Associate at a leading law firm.
- Demonstrated experience handling complex, high‑stakes litigation and regulatory investigations.
- Strong track record in corporate and commercial dispute resolution.
