Solution Architect

About the role

The University of Western Australia is seeking a Solution Architect to shape high‑impact solution designs that drive its most critical technology initiatives and digital transformation. This 12‑month fixed‑term role will guide modern platform adoption across a complex, large‑scale environment.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, maintain and manage institution‑wide solution architectures, ensuring alignment with Enterprise Architecture.
• Establish and maintain solution models, patterns and standards in an architectural repository.
• Provide technical direction throughout the full solution life‑cycle.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, vendors, analysts, PMO and technical teams to move solutions from concept to project commencement.
• Produce high‑level solutions and statements of work to support business cases and funding.

Required profile

• Relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent competency.
• Current Azure Solution Architect certification.
• TOGAF 9.1 or later (desirable).
• Extensive experience in data centre, storage, networking, virtualization, Azure cloud platforms, programming (C#.NET, REST APIs) or audio‑visual/telephony technologies.
• Proven track record delivering modern solutions within large organisations.

What we offer

• Full‑time fixed‑term appointment for 12 months.
• Base salary range $134,288 – $142,099 per annum plus 17% superannuation.
