Software Engineer – Power Apps & Power Automate (Brisbane/Sydney/Melbourne)

About the role
We are looking for a Software Engineer to join our Technology Operations team, delivering low‑code solutions that improve member experiences. The role is based in Australia and can be performed from Brisbane, Sydney or Melbourne.
Key responsibilities
- Design, develop and deliver high‑quality software solutions aligned with the organisation’s strategy.
- Analyse requirements, code, unit‑test and document changes.
- Build and enhance Power Apps Canvas applications using reusable components and scalable patterns.
- Develop and optimise Power Automate cloud flows with robust error handling, logging and efficient API usage.
- Configure, support and troubleshoot systems to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
- Investigate incidents, identify root causes and implement effective resolutions.
- Contribute to planning, estimation, design and continuous‑improvement initiatives across platforms.
- Support release and deployment activities using pipelines and maintain documentation and governance standards.
Required profile
- Excellent communicator with strong interpersonal skills.
- Proactive problem‑solver who can devise creative solutions quickly.
- Proven ability to design and build maintainable Power Apps Canvas applications using reusable components and understanding of delegation constraints.
- Demonstrated experience creating performant Power Automate flows with appropriate triggers, transformations, error handling and optimisation.
- Strong knowledge of SharePoint Online data structures, indexing, thresholds and performance considerations.
- Experience with structured ALM practices (Solutions, environment variables, connection references, controlled releases).
- Solid understanding of governance and security, including DLP policies, connector restrictions and secure data handling.
