Software Engineer / Developer (TSPV Clearance)

About the role

Leidos Australia is seeking Software Engineers and Developers to join its Intelligence support team. You will work on classified government programs, delivering modern, mission‑critical IT solutions while collaborating with cross‑functional experts.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross‑domain teams to design and deliver innovative software solutions.
• Participate in agile story mapping, estimation and SecDevOps integration.
• Develop and evolve web‑focused user interfaces and user experiences.
• Research, prototype, and investigate new technologies and systems.
• Lead or contribute to customer demonstrations, engagement activities and business development responses.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or Electrical Engineering with software experience.
• Australian citizenship and an active TSPV security clearance.
• Strong analytical mindset and willingness to learn.

Required skills

• Integration with external systems (REST API, JSON, XML).
• Experience with open‑source technologies such as NiFi, Kafka, Elastic (ELK) Stack, Solr.
• CI/CD tools and infrastructure as code (Ansible, Jenkins, Git).
• Java and related open‑source frameworks.
• Containerisation using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Proficiency with JIRA and Confluence.
