Software Developer – Integrated Simulation & T&E

About the role

KBR is seeking experienced software developers to join a new Modelling and Simulation project that will build and integrate the software backbone of integrated simulation, test and evaluation (T&E) environments, including digital twins. The role is hands‑on, high‑impact and will directly shape how the organisation delivers complex T&E capabilities across Australia.

Key responsibilities

• Set up, integrate and configure complex software systems that form part of the integrated simulation and T&E environment.
• Customize and extend off‑the‑shelf and bespoke tools to work together as a coherent capability.
• Maintain, operate and support the T&E environment, troubleshooting and resolving integration issues.
• Build demonstrators and prototypes to validate integration approaches and exercise the environment.
• Collaborate within a small, hands‑on team to deliver high‑quality solutions.

Required profile

• Strong software engineering background with broad technical capability.
• Relevant experience in modelling, simulation, or test tool integration.
• Commitment to continual learning and ability to work in a collaborative team.
• Eligibility to obtain an NV1 AGSVA security clearance.
