Service Technician – Wind Turbine Maintenance (Australia)

About the role

Join Vestas as a Service Technician and play a vital part in keeping wind turbines operating safely and efficiently across regional Australia. You will apply your electrical, mechanical and hydraulic expertise while contributing to the global transition to renewable energy.

Key responsibilities

• Perform periodic service inspections and replace or troubleshoot electrical, mechanical and hydraulic components according to Vestas specifications.
• Maintain turbine operation through condition monitoring, remote control systems and on‑site diagnostics.
• Manage service vehicle inventory, ordering tools, materials and spare parts as needed.
• Assemble and service components using internal or external cranes, following current work instructions.
• Adhere to the highest safety and environmental standards while meeting service targets.

Required profile

• Trade qualification in electrical, mechanical or hydraulic disciplines.
• Valid driver’s licence and ability to travel to multiple regional sites.
• Strong commitment to health and safety, able to work at height and in varied weather conditions.
• Good English communication skills, both written and verbal.
