Service Engineer

About the role

The Service Engineer will deliver exceptional service and support for Sandvik’s mineral processing and weighing equipment at sites across Australia. You will be responsible for installation, commissioning, maintenance and continuous improvement of equipment, ensuring high availability and customer satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Install, commission, maintain and repair multirail systems, PE cells and related automation equipment.
• Conduct inspections, testing, problem identification and root‑cause analysis on site.
• Prepare scopes of work and technical reports for customer maintenance programmes.
• Support aftermarket technical support representatives and customer service teams.
• Promote Sandvik products and collaborate with sales and engineering to identify design or process upgrades.
• Travel extensively, including weekends and short‑notice site visits, and obtain mine‑site induction.

Required profile

• Tertiary qualification in Mechanical Engineering.
• Willingness to travel frequently and work on weekends.
• Ability to obtain mine‑site induction and meet safety requirements.

Required skills

• Proficiency with multirail systems, PE cells and automation.
• Experience using 3D scanning and conducting wear‑liner performance assessments.
• Knowledge of CONiQ system testing and technical reporting.
• Strong troubleshooting and root‑cause analysis abilities.
• Understanding of hydraulic and electrical components and schematics.
