About the role
The Department of Housing and Public Works is seeking two full‑time Senior Social Media Officers to create and refresh content across seven social media channels. You will work closely with a videography and photography team to deliver engaging, contemporary material that supports the department’s housing, homelessness, youth, night‑economy and public‑works initiatives.
Key responsibilities
- Refresh and manage seven social media channels, ensuring content is engaging and relevant.
- Collaborate with videographers and photographers to produce high‑quality visual content based on audience insights.
- Moderate platforms, schedule posts, and respond to community interactions.
- Analyse performance metrics and adjust strategies to improve reach and impact.
- Support broader departmental projects such as housing assistance, procurement, and regulatory reform through targeted social media campaigns.
Required profile
- Proven background in digital and social media communications.
- Experience managing social media platforms and creating content independently and with professional teams.
- Strong analytical skills for interpreting social media metrics.
- Excellent relationship‑building and collaborative abilities.
