Senior Rolling Stock Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Rolling Stock Engineer to join our Perth rail and mass transit team. You will lead and contribute to building rolling‑stock capability across Perth, Australia and New Zealand.

Key responsibilities

• Design, commission and support new‑build rolling stock projects.
• Develop and manage rolling‑stock maintenance strategies.
• Interpret and apply Australasian, European and American rail standards.
• Create and maintain rolling‑stock lease and whole‑life‑cost models.

Required profile

• Professionally qualified engineer.
• Proven design and project‑management experience in the rolling‑stock rail industry.
• Successful experience working through the design phase of projects.
• Strong communication with internal and external stakeholders.

Required skills

• Rolling stock design.
• Commissioning and operations of rail vehicles.
• Maintenance strategy development.
• Whole‑life‑cost modelling.
• Standards interpretation (Australasian/European/American).
