Senior Fire Engineer – Consultant (Fire Engineering)

About the role

We are looking for a senior fire engineer to join our Perth‑based team, delivering fire risk engineering services to major mining and industrial operations in Australia and worldwide. The role is highly site‑focused, combining deep technical expertise with practical operational insight in high‑hazard environments.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct site‑based insurance risk surveys across mining and industrial facilities.
• Facilitate and document detailed fire risk assessments in complex environments.
• Prepare high‑quality technical reports for insurers and clients.
• Engage with clients and their insurance brokers to identify and communicate risk exposure.
• Apply engineering judgement where prescriptive solutions are insufficient.

Required profile

• Degree in Fire Engineering or equivalent.
• 10+ years’ experience in fire engineering or risk engineering.
• Demonstrated operational/site‑based experience in mining or industrial settings.
• Strong capability in fire risk assessment.
• Working knowledge of Australian and international standards (AS, NFPA, SANS).
• Ability to produce clear, structured technical reports.
