Senior Environmental Designer

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Environmental Designer to join our Sydney office and work with a global team of environmental designers. You will collaborate with architects, engineers and project teams to embed sustainable design principles into building, precinct and infrastructure projects.

Key responsibilities

• Manage large and complex sustainable building projects, including client relationships, work plans, budgets and junior staff.
• Coordinate and liaise with design teams and clients throughout all project stages.
• Scope, resource and delegate analysis tasks such as daylight, energy and thermal comfort modelling.
• Benchmark designs against green building certification programs (Green Star, Living Building Challenge, WELL, NABERS, etc.).
• Develop sustainability visions and strategies and communicate them to diverse stakeholders.
• Lead workshops and meetings to guide sustainability integration.
• Contribute to business development through fee proposals, client engagement and industry events.
• Directly manage and mentor junior staff members.

Required profile

• Australian consulting experience in sustainability and environmental modelling.
• Proven ability to apply green building rating and certification tools.
• Strong project management skills with experience handling budgets and client relationships.
• Leadership experience supervising and mentoring junior staff.
