Senior Electrical Engineer - Buildings

About the role

Aurecon is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to join its Buildings team in Queensland. The role involves delivering high‑quality electrical design for mid‑to large‑scale projects across sectors such as aviation, defence, data centres and major events.

Key responsibilities

• Lead delivery of electrical design packages across mid to large scale projects.
• Act as discipline lead, owning engineering outcomes from concept through delivery.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop integrated design solutions.
• Support project coordination, delivery and reporting to ensure quality outcomes for clients.
• Build and maintain client relationships through consistent delivery and communication.
• Contribute to a collaborative, supportive, high‑energy team culture.

Required profile

• Degree qualified in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
• Experience delivering building services electrical design in consulting, contractor or client‑side environment.
• Proven capability on projects valued $30M–$50M (or similar complexity).
• Chartered, registered, or actively working towards chartership.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work in multidisciplinary teams.
• Proactive approach with ownership and outcome‑driven mindset.
