Senior Consultant - Strategy & Operations

About the role

KPMG’s Enterprise Strategy and Operations team is seeking a Senior Consultant to lead client engagements across diverse industries in Australia. You will shape strategic solutions, manage workstreams, and mentor junior consultants while delivering high‑impact business outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Develop business strategies and operating models, defining client vision and growth pathways.
• Manage workstreams for business case development, including financial modelling, cost‑benefit analysis, and stakeholder engagement.
• Design and implement organisational change initiatives such as process improvement, workforce planning, and service delivery optimisation.
• Apply project and programme management methodologies to ensure timely, on‑scope delivery.
• Conduct market research, stakeholder interviews, and data analysis to generate actionable insights.
• Prepare and present client‑ready deliverables, including reports, presentations, and strategic briefings.
• Build trusted client relationships and tailor solutions to their needs.
• Mentor junior consultants and contribute to internal thought‑leadership and practice growth.

Required profile

• 3–5 years of experience in management consulting or a closely related discipline.
• Proven ability to lead components of client engagements and manage stakeholder relationships.
• Strong strategic thinking, commercial acumen, and understanding of business operations.
