Senior Clinical Research Associate - Phase I Oncology

About the role

ICON Strategic Solutions is hiring a Senior Clinical Research Associate in a sponsor-dedicated model, working in the Phase I oncology space across NSW and VIC. As the world's largest FSP organisation, ICON offers stability, career development and a collaborative environment. The Senior CRA oversees and manages clinical trial activities so they are conducted according to protocol, regulatory requirements and industry standards.

Key responsibilities

• Lead clinical trial monitoring tasks with a focus on quality and continuous improvement
• Monitor clinical trial sites for adherence to study protocols, regulatory requirements and GCP standards
• Conduct site visits to assess site performance, resolve issues and support successful trial execution
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on timely and accurate data collection and reporting
• Train and guide site staff and other CRAs on clinical trial conduct
• Build relationships with site personnel and stakeholders to keep trial operations running smoothly

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant scientific discipline or healthcare-related field
• Extensive experience as a Clinical Research Associate with a strong understanding of trial processes and regulatory requirements
• Proven ability to manage multiple sites and projects at once, with strong organisational and problem-solving skills
• Willingness to travel approximately 60% of the time
• Legal right to work in the country where the role is based

• Expertise in monitoring practices, data integrity and site management
• Proficiency in relevant clinical trial software and tools
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and stakeholder management skills
