Senior BIM Consultant, Buildings

About the role

Join Aurecon's Perth team as a Senior BIM Consultant, leading digital delivery on major building projects across health, resources, commercial and defence sectors. You will shape BIM strategy, improve model quality and drive efficient collaboration throughout the project lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Lead BIM strategy and delivery for large‑scale building projects.
• Develop and govern BIM Execution Plans, standards, workflows and model QA/QC processes.
• Coordinate with discipline leads, project managers and clients to define BIM requirements.
• Run coordination sessions, manage clash detection, model federation and issue resolution.
• Support defence‑related projects, adhering to security and clearance requirements.

Required profile

• Proven BIM management/coordination experience on complex Australian building projects (health, resources, commercial high‑rise, defence).
• Strong ability to create and implement BIM Execution Plans and project standards.
• High proficiency with Revit and Navisworks Manage; experience with ACC/BIM 360 or similar platforms.
• Understanding of Australian/NZ BIM and digital engineering practices, including CDE processes and naming conventions.
• Capability to mentor teams, deliver training and drive continuous improvement.
• Excellent communication skills and confidence engaging with clients and stakeholders.
• Ability to obtain and maintain Australian Government security clearance; Australian citizenship or eligibility may be required for certain projects.
