Senior Associate, Conduct and Compliance Risk

About the role

As a Senior Associate in Conduct and Compliance Risk, you will work within ANZ's Conduct & Compliance Risk Centre of Expertise. You will help drive the first line of defence, collaborating with risk experts, frontline teams and governance groups to manage conduct and regulatory risk across the Institutional value chain.

Key responsibilities

• Interpret and apply Group Risk policies, standards and regulatory obligations for Conduct and Compliance.
• Lead impact assessments and implementation activities for regulatory, policy or risk‑standard changes.
• Manage regulatory change oversight and governance for Institutional divisions.
• Inform inherent and residual risk assessments for Conduct and Regulatory risks across value chains, countries and divisions.
• Perform thematic reviews of risk exposure, identify control gaps and support remediation actions.
• Partner with business teams to design, uplift and embed effective controls aligned to enterprise frameworks.
• Prepare and contribute risk insights, analysis and reporting for divisional governance and decision‑making.

Required profile

• Senior‑level experience in conduct and compliance risk within a banking environment.
• Strong understanding of regulatory obligations and risk policy interpretation.
• Proven ability to manage regulatory change programmes and risk assessments.
• Excellent collaboration skills with cross‑functional and frontline teams.
