Security Dev Sec Ops

About the role

The Security Dev Sec Ops role focuses on interpreting and applying information assurance and security policies to manage risks across complex defence domains. You will guide operational information management and ensure compliance with contemporary security architectures.

Key responsibilities

• Interpret information assurance and security policies, generating equivalent controls where required.
• Provide guidance and solutions for operational information management across security domains.
• Plan, organise and conduct information assurance reviews for accreditation of complex domains.
• Contribute to development of policies, standards and guidelines throughout the capability life cycle.
• Advise on implementing compliance controls in products, services and systems.
• Investigate breaches, recommend improvements, and maintain an inventory of legislated data.
• Handle formal requests and complaints per procedures and prepare reports for relevant authorities.

Required profile

• 8‑10 years of experience in an IT role with information security exposure.
• Extensive experience with ISM and Defence Security Policy Framework (DSPF).
• Experience working on cyber security initiatives within ASD, DDG or CASG.
• Recent experience authoring Defence ICT Security documentation achieving ATO.
• Experience with DevSecOps and Agile project delivery methodologies.
• Experience with Defence Strategic Networks and Deployed Networks.
• Security clearance at NV1 level.
