About the role

Okta is seeking a motivated Sales Development Representative to join its fast‑growing cybersecurity sales organization. In this role you will identify, engage, and qualify high‑value enterprise accounts, creating a pipeline that fuels Okta’s market leadership.

Key responsibilities

  • Own strategic outbound prospecting across multiple channels (call, email, social, video) to reach key decision‑makers.
  • Deeply qualify and nurture leads, converting them into sales‑ready meetings for Account Executives.
  • Become an Okta evangelist, articulating the company’s value proposition and solution benefits.
  • Collaborate with Account Executives, Field Marketing, and Product Specialists to design targeted campaigns and refine messaging.
  • Utilise SaaS tools such as Salesforce, Outreach, and SalesLoft to manage pipeline, track engagement, and drive data‑based improvements.
  • Consistently meet or exceed monthly and quarterly quotas for qualified opportunities.
  • Represent Okta at virtual and in‑person industry events to expand the network and uncover new opportunities.

Required profile

  • Proven experience in outbound sales or lead generation, with a hunter mentality.
  • Strong communication skills, able to engage senior‑level stakeholders.
  • Self‑starter who can develop and execute strategic prospecting plans.
  • Consultative selling approach with the ability to uncover nuanced customer needs.
