Safety & Certification Engineer for LAND 6504

About the role

Amentum is seeking a Safety & Certification Engineer to develop the safety and certification framework for the LAND 6504 capability, supporting Combined Pass approval activities and ensuring compliance with Defence and regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Identify safety and technical certification requirements for the LAND 6504 solution and supporting systems.
• Collect and analyse certification, regulatory, assurance and compliance requirements from Defence, industry, OEM, FMS and regulatory stakeholders.
• Develop and maintain the System Safety and Certification Plan (SSCP) and Technical Certification Plan (TCP).
• Maintain certification registers, compliance registers and evidence tracking mechanisms.
• Lead regulatory and certification gap analysis and develop certification pathways and approval strategies.
• Conduct risk and opportunity analysis related to certification, regulatory compliance, transport approvals and system safety.
• Support development of certification evidence, assurance artefacts and approval documentation for capability approval activities.

Required profile

• Minimum NV1 clearance with ability to obtain NV2 (NV2 preferred).
• Must be able to work onsite at Brindabella Business Park five days per week.
• At least 6 years of relevant experience, preferably within Defence and complex acquisition projects.
